The prayer center will be a place where believers from Cecil, Chester, and New Castle counties can come and a minister to the Lord in intercession, song, and music. People will do this by having routine and ongoing prayer meetings. The prayer meetings will have different styles. The styles of the prayer meeting will depend on the person or people leading. We currently envision the following styles of prayer meetings.
A prayer group meeting consists of people getting together and making requests and petitions to God. They may or may not have music playing in the background.
A singer-led prayer meeting is similar to those conducted at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, the Upper Room in Dallas, and in other places. These prayer meetings have a person singing prayers. Usually, the singers are accompanied with musicians to play music. In addition, an intercessor may start a prayer request by speaking the prayer without singing
A musician-led prayer meeting is where one or more musicians get together and prophecy with instruments (I Chronicles 25). The musicians play as the Spirit leads. An intercessor or prophet may accompany them to speak what the musicians are releasing through music.
A prophet/intercessor prayer meeting may be one person whose ministry includes making petitions to the Lord on behalf of a region. Other people may accompany them.
